Alvin Dastine

Alvin Dastine is an Associate Attorney at Hogan & Vandenberg. His path to immigration law started early in law school, inspired by his personal connection to the cause. As the son of Haitian immigrants and through relationships with many immigrants and first-generation Americans, he knows how impactful the immigration process can be in a person’s life. Throughout law school, Alvin gained valuable experience interning with the African Services Committee, with law firms for different areas, and later serving as a law clerk in the New York State Supreme Court, in the Appellate Division. Passionate about helping people from different backgrounds come together with mutual respect and understanding, he is committed to serving clients across a broad range of immigration matters.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York, Alvin earned his undergraduate degree from Penn State University, where he majored in Philosophy and Communication, Arts & Sciences and minored in Rhetoric, before receiving his Juris Doctor and Advanced Certificate in International Law from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. He is fluent in English and is currently working toward fluency in Haitian Creole.
