W. John Yahya Vandenberg

Partner

John is the Founding and Managing Partner of Hogan & Vandenberg. His interest in immigration law began during his first trip abroad while serving on a U.S. Navy mission. Although he initially planned to pursue a career in international law, a summer position with the Villanova Clinic for Asylum, Refugee, and Emigrant Services inspired him to focus on immigration law instead.

With extensive experience across the full spectrum of immigration matters, John has handled cases ranging from deportation defense to complex employment-based immigration. He is fluent in Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian, and Portuguese, and has working knowledge of Arabic, Russian, and Spanish.

John earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law.
